Mark Pearson, President and CIO

IMG_2712Mark Pearson is the founder, president and chief investment officer of Anchor Capital Management, Inc., a Minneapolis-based, independent, asset management firm. He established Anchor in 1994 based on his experience in the high tech and financial services industries, and his passion for building assets for his clients.

Mark's extensive industry-related financial services background began in 1986. Time has enabled him to hone the Anchor Capital philosophy and strategy for portfolio management. He previously served as president of the financial planning division of a bank holding company, and has experience in raising capital for corporate acquisitions. He currently holds a Series 65, and a Series 7 securities license. His B.A. is in speech communications from the University of Minnesota. Mark is on the board of Christian International Foundation and he has served on several other boards and advisory committees.

A trained and seasoned presenter, Mark has addressed Baby Boomers and retirees on the avoidance of planning and investing pitfalls; corporate management teams on ROI principles; families on financial and investment planning; and financial planners on economy-neutral asset management. He has written extensively about the principles of portfolio management in a bear market, as well as on market trends and expectations.

In his leisure time, Mark is devoted to volunteering, spending time with his wife and three children, and playing golf.
